Where do we start as beginner?
We will start at 0-A1 level. The beginner book ‘Nederlands in gang’ counts 18 chapters and is a communicative method for highly educated foreigners. Depending on the language skills of the participants we can finish one chapter every week.
So approximately after four and half months the student will have finished this book and he will have A2 level (elementary) which means the student …
· Can understand sentences and frequently used expressions related to areas of most immediate relevance (e.g. very basic personal and family information, shopping, local geography, employment).
· Can communicate in simple and routine tasks requiring a simple and direct exchange of information on familiar and routine matters.

All languages skills (speaking, listening, reading, writing) are trained, with a focus on vocabulary acquisition. Having finished this book we can continue with the 2nd book (intermediate level). You will have already a solid basis of the structure of Dutch. And you will read more articles and learn more vocabulary.
